Treks

The Booth Private Equity Group runs several annual Treks...

...or industry-specific trips, during which a small group of students travels to meet with a breadth of PE firms and professionals over the course of two days. While not recruiting trips, these Treks are structured such that students are exposed to a range of investment stages, from growth through buyout, and across industry and strategy. The Trek group typically meets with each host firm for one hour, consisting of a formal presentation followed by a questions & answer session.

Students are also able to network more informally with host firms and local PE alumni during a culminating networking event, jointly organized by PEG and Booth Career Services. The Treks also serve as a great way for members of the Group to build relationships with peers in their class who are similarly focused on PE recruiting.

Historically, Treks are organized to New York City and San Francisco at a minimum while other Treks such as Boston continue to be opportunistic. At this time we intend to plan and execute treks to NYC and San Francisco. However, due to the pandemic, we will notify all relevant parties should the landscape materially change.

Capital, Thoma Bravo, TA Associates, The Audax Group, Francisco Partners, Cove Hill Partners, Summit Partners, Serent Capital, Volition Capital, Pine Brook, and KPS Capital Partners.
